Everyone knows you can eat like a king in Tuscany, Italy, and drink fine wine while gazing at some of the world’s most famous art. But did you also know you could mountain bike in a marble quarry there, or raft through a canyon?
If your shop runs trips and you’re looking for a new destination to take customers, you’re in luck: You could be eligible for a hosted buyer spot at the Adventure Travel Trade Association‘s upcoming AdventureWeek in Tuscany, Italy. ATTA has partnered with Toscana Promozione Turistica, Tuscany’s tourism board, to bring a select group of 25 buyers and media to Tuscany for a week of adventure, all-expenses-paid.

The trip runs from Sept. 10 to 17, and aims to focus on the more adventurous side of Tuscany.
“This is a unique opportunity for us to show to ATTA members a new type of journey through our iconic landscape,” said Alberto Peruzzini, head of Toscana Promozione Turistica, in an ATTA press release about AdventureWeek. “We welcome you and invite you to experience the ‘wild side’ of one of the most sought-after tourism destinations in the world. We are hopeful that with your experiences here, you will help us to write a new chapter in Tuscan tourism history.”
Activities will include canyoneering the Rio Selvano, surfing and SUPing in the Tyrrhenian Sea, kayaking, scuba diving, trekking in Toscano National Park, and heli-mountain biking in the Apuane Alps marble quarries.
Apply by July 3 for consideration, and watch the event page for details about the week’s itinerary as plans solidify.
