Black Diamond has announced internal changes to help the company remain focused on product innovation and not become mired under the weight of its increasing number of brands. Dave Mellon, formerly the ski product line manager, has been promoted to director of product management overseeing those who manage product development and direction within each brand. Joe Skrivan will expand his role as director of product development to work with Mellon to coordinate product line strategies and successful product line integration. Kim Miller will take over the reins as the new ski category manager. Miller brings more than 20 years of backcountry and ski industry experience to this position. Customer Service Manager Kenyon Kopp will see an expanded role in national sales management assisting National Sales Manager Chris Grover. Additionally, James Loveridge has joined BD as the Midwest representative and will handle key accounts sales service.
