Hot New Products are written by the company and edited for space and clarity. The column was previously called Elevator Pitch. They do not express the opinions of Outside Business Journal or its editors.
Pitched by Russ Rowell, Kelty senior vice president and general manager:
Just in time for fall, historic camping and hiking gear leader Kelty is offering a limited edition product collaboration with Ranger Doug Leen, better known as “Ranger of the Lost Art,” reflecting Doug’s vintage national park posters from the New Deal era. The retro print reflects the poster’s retro sunset and color scheme. These posters were the Works Progress Administration’s first major influential attempt at a visual promotion during the depression of the 1930s.

Kelty products being sold at select retailers and online include the Ranger Doug 2-Person Tent, Ranger Doug 4-Person Tent, Ranger Doug Deployable Blanket, and Ranger Doug 30F Sleeping Bags. Kelty is following Ranger Doug’s lead by donating a percentage of program sales to The Student Conservation Association.
