SOG’s new multitool packs a lot of useful features into a svelte package.

The Reactor is a new multitool by SOG with a 2.5 –inch spring assisted blade that pops open with the flick of thumb, no fumbling required, and locks open with a little red thumb tab, a nice safety feature because you don’t have to worry about the blade wiggling around while you work. Other features include:
Pliers
Grippers
Wire cutter
Crimper
Phillips head screwdriver
Flathead screwdriver
1/4-inch hex bit driver
Bottle opener
Straight-edge blade
Lanyard hole
Key observations: The needlenose pliers are super strong and comfy to grip. The flat and Phillips head screw bit stores slickly away inside a magnetic holder in the handle, then pops out and attaches in the end of the tool for max torque that minimizes stripping.
The Reactor is strong contender in the multitool category, with well-executed features and stats that make it very competitive in its price and weight range ($64 retail and just a hair over 4 ounces).
