Outdoor Research wants to take you and your best girlfriend climbing. The second annual #SheAdventures Scholarship is an all-expense paid 5-day junket (July 12-16) to the International Climbers’ Festival in Lander, Wyoming.
“#SheAdventures started out as a hashtag for Instagram,” marketing manager Christian Folk told SNEWS in a recent interview. Now, it has expanded to become a “brand platform for how we talk to women through marketing.” The #SheAdventures program includes focus groups, events, and, yes, scholarship contests. “It’s giving women a strong platform to showcase women’s achievement.”

The scholarship is open to all female climbers, newbie or expert. And the prize package is sweet.
The winner and her guest will each receive:
1. A 5-day, all-access pass to the International Climbers’ Festival in Lander, WY on July 12-16, 2017 including two paid-for clinics and one privately guided day out.
2. Reimbursement for up to $1000 of travel costs (airfare, lodging, rental car, gas, food, etc.)
3. $1000 of Outdoor Research apparel
4. Assorted climbing gear from other brands sponsoring the event
To enter, just post a climbing photo to Instagram by March 31, 2017 and caption it with an answer to this simple question: Why do you love climbing? Posts must be shorter than 150 words and include #OutdoorResearch AND #SheAdventuresScholarship (or OR won’t see it). They promise to look at every single post, pick the one that inspires them most.
