SNEWS® Live: At 18, Bridger Root is well on his way to becoming one of the great mountaineers of his generation. He’s already reached the summit of each of the 14,000-foot peaks of the lower 48 states, as well as Denali in Alaska and Mont Blanc on the border between France and Italy.
Root was recently inducted into the Outdoor Idols, a core group of young adventurers that aim to inspire their peers to take up the call of the wild. At Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah, SNEWS® Live met with Root to talk about his brief but illustrious climbing career and his plans for the future.
