SNEWS® Live: Terry Tempest Williams was the recent keynote speaker at the Conservation Alliance Breakfast during Outdoor Retailer Winter Market on Sunday, January 28. Williams is a writer, conservationist, and passionate advocate for public lands. Newsweek called her “a person most likely to have a social and political impact on the American West.” Terry’s book, Refuge: An Unnatural History of Family and Place, is regarded as a classic in American nature writing. She is a strong proponent for protecting North America’s iconic wild places.
