Did you hear?… Black Diamond and Petzl reach agreement regarding BD's Positron carabiner

Black Diamond Equipment Ltd. and Petzl have reached an agreement regarding Black Diamond’s new Positron carabiner and the keylock design it employs. The agreement enables Black Diamond to license the Frechin keylock design, which is presently used by Petzl on its entire range of carabiners and also by Kong. The agreement is effective immediately. Keylocks differ from standard carabiners in the design of the nose and gate, which do not contain a notch. This design makes them easy to clip and less likely to snag on slings or hardware.
