Did you hear?… Carol Momoda joins Lowa

One of outdoor footwear’s best-known players, Carol Momoda, has joined Lowa Boots as brand manager for outdoor footwear. In this newly created position, Momoda will work with product development in helping to merchandise and plan the assortment range for existing and new collections. She will also assist the sales force in working with key accounts to develop marketing and other sales programs for retailers. Speaking on her jump into the supply side after 24 years with REI, Momoda told SNEWS®: “Lowa has a commitment to footwear that I admired when I was at REI,” she said, “and I see a wonderful opportunity to help the brand grow.” Momoda will be based out of Seattle, Wash., in a soon-to-be opened regional Lowa office. She will share that office with northwest reps.
