Did you hear?… Cascade Designs has discontinued the sale of MSR White Gas

Cascade Designs has now discontinued the sale of Mountain Safety Research (MSR) White Gas Premium Blend Stove Fuel for the foreseeable future. As SNEWS® reported in early June, Cascade Designs stopped shipping MSR White Gas to dealers due to an internal corrosion problem with the fuel cans. At the time, the company was confident the corrosion problem would be addressed. However, the supplier has been unable to solve the problem to Cascade’s satisfaction resulting in the company immediately announcing the cancellation of outstanding purchase orders and also stating that pre-season orders will not be taken for the Spring 2003 selling season. “I personally want to apologize for the inconvenience the stop shipment may have caused. The entire team at Cascade Designs realizes that our dealers rely upon us for stellar delivery of high-quality products and in this case we have let them down. We have to re-double our efforts to earn back our customers’ trust,” Cascade Design’s president, Lee Fromson said in a statement issued today.
