David Carty has joined the Bell Canoe team as the new driver to deliver canoes to the company’s network of specialty dealers across the United States. “Some people think it’s strange we make such a big deal about our drivers,” says Ted Bell, the company’s president, “However, our drivers are the final link in our quality control chain.” Bell Canoe Works delivers its Royalex and composite canoes on a private trailer to ensure damage-free delivery. Retailers have told SNEWS® they enjoy the service because they get to know the driver as an extension of the in-house staff and company representatives.
