David Hadden, on the heels of resigning his position of vice president of sales and marketing for Heritage Kayaks (soon to be officially known as Legacy Paddlesports), has joined Malone Auto Racks in a newly-created position — director of sales and marketing. Hadden has been a part of the paddlesports industry for the last 15 years, working along the way for Wenonah Canoe, Current Designs, Dagger and Mad River Canoe. Hadden had been at Heritage four years, and helped guide that company from just over $500,000 in revenue to sales projected to reach $5.5 million in 2006, according to an email he sent out recently.

Malone is based in Westbrook, Maine, and manufactures automotive rack, trunk and hitch carrier systems made of injection-molded plastics. Malone distributes its products through specialty outdoor, fishing and automotive retail stores in North America — www.maloneautoracks.com.

Hadden can be reached by email at dahadden@verizon.net.
