Don Santorufo, chief operating officer for Columbia Sportswear, will retire this December. Santorufo joined Columbia in 1979 as a purchasing and production manager. He was promoted to vce president of manufacturing in 1983 and launched the company’s Asian manufacturing operation, establishing quality control offices in critical markets. He was named executive vice president and chief operating officer in 1995. Columbia’s Board of Directors appointed Pat Anderson, the Company’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, to the position of Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Bryan Timm, Columbia’s Corporate Controller, has been named Chief Financial Officer.
