The joint campaigns will include for now special fashion week promotions, in-store retail displays and co-branding, with other merchandising elements to come later in 2002 and early 2003. The sponsorship will help FTBC to expand into Japan and, later in the year, in China. FTBC was launched in 1994 by then-First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. Since then, the group has led breast cancer organizations in six countries and has netted nearly $20 million USD for breast cancer projects from clinical research and patient support to education, prevention and screening.
