Did you hear?… Galyan's Trading Co. appoints Edward Whitehead as senior vice president

Galyan’s Trading Co. (Nasdaq: GLYN) has appointed Edward Whitehead as senior vice president, marketing. Whitehead was most recently director of marketing for Harrods in London. He has also held various positions in merchandising, sales and marketing for Polo Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Cole Haan, and Mossimo. He will report to Robert B. Mang, CEO and Chairman of the Company, and will be responsible for advertising, brand strategy, e-commerce, and marketing. In addition, Joan Hurley has been appointed senior vice president, communication and community commitment, and her responsibilities will include all media relations, investor relations, and grass roots/community commitment efforts.
