Globetrotter of Germany is opening is sixth and largest store on March 2 in Berlin. Its current Berlin store will close when this one — in a former central bus station — opens. Already, Hamburg-based Globetrotter operates stores in Hamburg (2), Bonn, Dresden, Frankfurt, and Berlin. But this one will surpass the others in size (larger than a soccer field) and breadth (customers will be able to test everything from sleeping bags to canoes on-site). In addition, Jack Wolfskin will offer a 400-square-meter (4,300 square feet) concept shop, and there will also be an Internet Café, travel bureau, and children’s play area for customers. Go to www.globetrotter.de for more. If you happen to be in Berlin, check out Schloss Strasse 78-82.
