Finally, a trade show that’s choosing to shorten its duration in an effort to increase efficiency, trim expenses, and maximize time spent doing business. Interbike, produced by VNU Expositions, made the unusual, though welcome announcement that this year’s trade show will be a three-day event, instead of the traditional four. Interbike will be in Las Vegas from Oct. 5-8, with doors open between 9 a.m. and 6 a.m. Show management has also shown remarkable wisdom by adding special “invite only” Exhibitor/VIP hours from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. to “accommodate those with heavy appointment schedules,” says Lance Camisasca, Interbike show director.
