Did you hear?… L.L. Bean awards grant to ACA

L.L. Bean has awarded the American Canoe Association (ACA) a grant to enable the association to fund its new Club Fostered Stewardship (CFS) program. The CFS is designed to promote volunteer waterway stewardship at the local level by awarding 10 to 20 grants ranging from $100 to $1,000 per year to local paddling clubs. Clubs will be asked to submit a short application outlining projects that “utilize volunteer efforts to protect, maintain, or restore recreational waterways; provide for or improve public access; or enhance safe navigation.” For more information on ACA, click on: www.acanet.org/acanet.htm
