Our congratulations -- uh, we think -- to L.L. Bean for making the annual "Dave Barry's Gift Guide," the one where Barry himself stresses, "All the items in the Gift Guide are real. We do not make them up. Somebody actually decided to manufacture and market these items."

Our congratulations — uh, we think — to L.L. Bean for making the annual “Dave Barry’s Gift Guide,” the one where Barry himself stresses, “All the items in the Gift Guide are real. We do not make them up. Somebody actually decided to manufacture and market these items.” L.L. Bean earned Barry’s attention by offering camouflage duct tape which Barry states “enables the sportsperson to apply the camouflage ‘look’ to anything he can wrap tape around — a car, a dog, an elderly relative, anything.” Other Barry notables included a musical toilet paper roller, a talking beer opener, and X-ray vision glasses. SNEWS® View: Remind Santa please to keep the duct tape out of the SNEWS® team’s stockings since that could mandate “testing.” And our cars, dogs and elderly relatives are probably best sans tape.
