A woman who takes low-income inner-city kids on mountain bike outings has won one of three SGMA Heroes Awards for 2002. Marilyn Price of Mill Valley, Calif., is the founder of Trips for Kids, a non-profit program she founded more than 13 years ago. Price combines a challenging athletic experience with lessons in personal responsibility, achievement, and environmental awareness, and has take more than 7,000 kids on trips since she began.
