A Montrail-sponsored team of ultrarunners bested the field of 863 four-person teams and set a new course record in the process at the 20th annual Trailwalker 100 race in Hong Kong on Nov. 9. The team — Ian Torrance, Scott Jurek, Nate McDowell, and Dave Terry — finished the 100-kilometer course in 12 hours and 52 minutes. The race, which is staged on the MacLehose Trail in the rugged mountains near Hong Kong, raises funds for Oxfam, an international development and humanitarian relief agency benefiting disadvantaged and poor people in Asia and Africa. The Montrail/Protrek team raised $1,200 for the cause. For more information on Trailwalker, click on www.trailwalker.org.hk
