Mountain Rescue Association (MRA) teams from throughout Colorado and the United States will have an opportunity to train with elite rescuers from Israel’s Negev Highlands SAR team and the Chinese Mountaineering Association at this year’s MRA annual conference in Estes Park, Col., June 7-9. “This is a rare opportunity for our rescue teams to share in an important exchange of search and rescue techniques with elite rescue mountaineers from Israel and China,” said Rocky Henderson, president of the Mountain Rescue Association. “For more than 40 years, the MRA has been an international association of rescue teams dedicated to search and rescue and safety education. This exchange of techniques and expertise is a tremendous opportunity for us all.” Due to the unique nature of this exchange, MRA is inviting members of national and local television and print media to cover the conference, which will include two days of rescue trainings on avalanche, search, and helicopter operations. For further information, contact Charley Shimanski at 303-384-0110 ext. 11 or by email at cshiman@americanalpineclub.org. For more information on the MRA, click on — http://www.mra.org/
