Did you hear?… OIWC is now an advisory committee of OIA

A year after becoming a specialty group under the umbrella of the Outdoor Industry Association, the Outdoor Industry Women’s Council (OIWC) is now an advisory committee of the association. As a specialty group, it could not garner the funding it needed for its objectives, the group said in its last newsletter in late December, since money was based on individual memberships. As an advisory committee, the association will underwrite OIWC activities and its benefits and resources will be free — without separate membership or dues required — too all association members. The group will continue to mentor and education women in the industry.
