According to a new study from the U.S. Department of Commerce, online sales rose 0.2 percent to $7.47 billion in Q3. Third quarter online sales for this year were 8.3 percent higher than those in Q3 2000, when they totaled $6.89 billion. Total retail sales fell by 2.6 percent to $787 billion during the same period.
