Just as Merrell is carrying Wolverine’s financials, so are the outdoor divisions of VF carrying that company’s year-end results. While VF Corp. posted a net loss of $137.8 million for 4Q 2001, on net sales of $1.3 billion, down 11.4 percent from the previous year. In contrast, the outdoor segment of VF, consisting of The North Face, JanSport and EastPak posted sales increases of 13 percent for 4Q and 34 percent for the year.
