Did you hear?…Peter Devin to leave Outdoor Retailer / Nielsen

SNEWS® has learned the Peter Devin recently tendered his resignation with Nielsen Business Media, effective Mar. 30, as group show director of Outdoor Retailer and Fly-Fishing Retailer. Upon contacting Devin, he told SNEWS®, “After almost five years with the company, I have given my notice to leave Nielsen at the end of this month to pursue some interesting opportunities which exist within and around the outdoor industry.”

He added, “I’ve been honored to lead and work with such a solid team at Outdoor Retailer and Fly-Fishing Retailer, and the shows are both in solid hands going forward. The time is right for me now to advance other ventures personally and professionally.”

Devin, who declined to answer directly what new opportunities he would be pursuing, told SNEWS® we’d be the first to know, outside of his family, of course, what his new venture will be, sometime in the next few weeks. Stay tuned…
