Recognizing the vital role that Southern Utah’s Castleton Tower plays in the lives of climbers and outdoor enthusiasts, Petzl today announced it will increase its commitment to the campaign to preserve this area by taking out full-page ads on the back covers of the August issues of both Climbing and Rock & Ice magazines. These ads encourage readers to contribute to this local conservation initiative, with Petzl agreeing to match the total of all contributions from individual and corporate readers up to a maximum of $7,500. The funds will go toward the purchase of the land to protect it from otherwise certain future development. Noted Utah photographer, Tom Till, donated the photograph for the Castleton Tower Subsequent ads are being discussed and will feature the names of those who donated to the Castleton Tower cause.
