Flipping through the pages of the American Illustration website, we spied a familiar sight: An illustration by Shannon Brady that was featured in the summer 2008 SNEWS Fitness magazine.
Featured in the Biz Tools section, the commissioned artwork illustrated the “Leader of the Brand” article, which covered strategies to bring a retail brand to life through effective store design. (Click here for a link to the PDF download of the article.)
American Illustration (www.americanillustration.com) is the website showcase for Shannon Associates, one of the premier representatives of artists, illustrators, photographers and writers worldwide. In describing itself on its website, it said, “Our illustrators and writers represent the best in their respective fields, and are drawn from a pool of seasoned as well as emerging talent.”
The recognition is a bit of an honor as the rep house, which has been in business for more than 20 years, specifically picks the artists and artwork it wants to represent and showcase. Its artists have garnered such awards as The Caldecott and Newbery, among others, and are regularly featured in editorial publications like Rolling Stone, The New Yorker, Newsweek, Forbes and more.
