The North Face has hired six independent sales agencies to handle the United States, the company told SNEWS today. Using the agencies will provide TNF with expanded representation that it says will lead to growth. All six are already in the field servicing customers. They are: Northeast, Alpine Outfitters Inc, Mark Hyde, director (603-465-3198); Rockies, The Skylark Group, Ed LaJoy, director (303-278-4631); Far West, Outdoor Adventure Sales, Dennis Gafvert, director (707-265-9767 or 888-270-9890 — click here to read our story on that appointment from last week); Mid-Atlantic, Full Circle, Bill Brown, director (610-738-9977); Southeast, First Ascent Sales Inc., John Fellers, director (423-886-7345); and Midwest, Outdoor Products Sales Association Inc., Mike Benedetto, director, (612-821-6864). “Although we are very pleased with the service improvements we have made in the two years since our acquisition by VF Corporation, these agencies will take The North Face to the next level of responsiveness as we manage our rapidly growing business,” said Steve Rendle, TNF vice president of sales. “The agencies are made up of knowledgeable and experienced agents, familiar with the outdoor industry and the needs of our current customers. Our customers will find improved service from these agencies, and our company as a whole will benefit from this change.”
