Did you hear?… The North Face is relaunching the A5 brand

SNEWS® has learned that The North Face is relaunching the A5 brand of big wall climbing gear with the addition of a limited A5 Mountain Lifestyle apparel offering this August. TNF will be licensing the rights to produce and sell the A5 brand of portaledges and assorted big wall gear to Conrad Anker and Tom Jungst, of Jungst Scientific Co., located in Bozeman, Mont. TNF acquired the big wall climbing company of A-5 Adventures, Inc. in the Fall of 1996. Most recently, the A5 product line included 20 products, but had slipped into neglect during the VF restructuring and subsequent rebuilding of the TNF brand name.
