Did you hear?… Troy Ballard to leave Salomon

Troy Ballard’s last day at Salomon is this Friday. He has accepted a position with a company called Ripcurl and will be moving to Australia in January where he will be the company’s Chairman of Mountain Wear — a global position overseeing its ski and snowboard outerwear business. Ballard told SNEWS® his decision to leave Salomon was rooted almost entirely in his desire to try a new adventure and allow his children an opportunity to experience another culture. The Ballards will be living in Torquay, about an hour from Melbourne. Ballard tells us they’ll be down under for about a year and a half, then they’ll return to the United States to run the business from North America.
