Did you hear?… WaterMark acquires Rhode Gear

Just in time for the Interbike Show, WaterMark acquired car rack and cycling accessories company, Rhode Gear, from Bell Sports. Rhode Gear will become part of the newly formed WaterMark Gear division headed by Duncan Robins and located in Arcata, Calif. That group includes Yakima racks; Earliest Explorers bike trailers, joggers and trailer bikes; the Sospenders line of personal flotation devices and the Harmony line of paddlesports accessories. SNEWS® view: We reported in August that Bell was looking to sell all off its accessory lines to focus exclusively on its Bell and Giro helmet lines. This purchase seems a perfect fit for Watermark Gear and will breathe new life into Rhode Gear, which has been on the fade over the past several years.
