Ride the elevator with Mina Yoo, founder of Heroclip.

Several years ago, I had a baby, decided to summit Mt. Rainier, and moved into a fixer-upper home all within months of each other. This series of events led me to a profound realization: two hands are not enough for the gear that comes with living a full life. Tired of suffering, I decided to invent an “extra hand” in the simplest form possible.

Heroclip is perfect for hanging backpacks, lanterns, and hydration systems from tree branches; gear from fences and trees; travel bags from doors and suitcase handles; paint buckets from ladder rungs; purses from tables―the list goes on.

Unlike other fasteners that only function in one way—clip, hook, or tie—Heroclip enables users to both hook and clip gear. Heroclip’s patented 360-degree swivel and double-jointed folding hook system make hanging effortless, allowing items up to 60 pounds to hang straight from even the most awkward spots and providing convenient access to whatever is being stored. The extra large gate on the carabiner makes it easier than other clips to insert items. In addition, Heroclip is made of CNC-machined, aircraft-grade aluminum, giving it both strength as well as a premium look and feel.

Two crowdfunding campaigns raised more than $200,000 by 4,000 backers, and sold more than 200,000 units to date. An Indiegogo campaign is currently accepting donations to help expand its permanent product line to three sizes: mini, small, and medium.

No matter what adventure you’re on, Heroclip offers an extra hand to harness your gear and hang just about anything, just about anywhere.

Do you have a new product or company you want to pitch? Here’s how to do it.
