Elevator Pitch: The Quiver

The Quiver is a set of packs that clip into a unique, detachable frame. Ride the elevator with Tim Sherry, co-founder and COO of OddLot Labs, to hear his pitch.

Everyone has their favorite backpack. I personally have one that travelled all over the world with me, including collecting rock samples in Namibia. It was great for that, but it’s not great for everything. I can’t take it into the office, and it doesn’t fit well on a bike.

OddLot was founded to answer the question: What if every backpack could be your favorite backpack?

To solve this, we developed the Quiver, a backpack system with an independent frame that swaps between purpose-built packs. You wouldn’t take a laptop into the woods, nor would you bring ice axes and trekking poles into the office, so why carry redundant features when you don’t need them? Our packs are designed with a specific purpose in mind, and the features and designs reflect that.

By utilizing an independent frame, we are also able to cut down on the manufacturing costs and material waste left on the cutting room floor. Because the frame is shared between packs, there is no need to build shoulder straps and backpanels for every pack. This lessens the environmental impact of manufacture. It also saves our customers money because they don’t need to cover the cost of frame construction every time they buy a new backpack.

We are live on Indiegogo right now with dedicated day hiker and bike commuter packs. We also have a dry bag in development, which also utilizes the same frame system.

We want to blow our crowdfunding campaign goal out of the water so we can change the way our industry thinks about backpacks for the better.
