Formerly business partners with Chip Hunnings and Bill Wagner, Mike Mays has created a new corporation on his own and resurrected the All About Fitness name (www.aafitness.net) with one store in Lenexa, Kan. Officially opened on July 1, Mays told SNEWS® there will be a grand opening celebration on Aug. 12 for the 5,000-square-foot showroom that is in a former AAF location. Brands include Precor, Octane, BH Fitness and STFitness…. Hunnings and Wagner, who opened the Kansas City All About Fitness location in 1998, are now focused on other retail endeavors, with Hunnings primarily working on his 1-year-old Colorado Home Fitness in Englewood, Col., and Wagner, among other things, focused on Podium Sports in Frisco, Col….

BH Fitness North America has hired Dan Foust, formerly of FitChix and True Fitness, and Lynette Kowalke, formerly of Power Plate and True Fitness. Foust will manage BH sales in the Midwest as the company’s new Midwestern regional sales manager. Kowalke will manage the Southwest as the Southwestern regional sales manager…. Fitness4Home in the Phoenix, Ariz., area is now selling Precor. Also still elling Precor in the area is Sport Chalet…. Precor Home Fitness in San Rafael, Calif., north of San Francisco is now open….

Star Trac has hired Sal Pelligrino as its director of business development for key accounts. Prior to Star Trac, he worked for Les Mills, Precor and StairMaster…. Technogym will for the fifth time provide equipment for the training facilities at the Olympics. The Italy-based company will set up the main gym in the Olympic Village in London in 2012. It has done Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, Turin 2006 and Beijing 2008.

Busy Body Fitness Center’s second location will debut in August, reported co-owner Carlos Vazquez, president of Busy Body/Gyms to Go retail store in Florida.
