BH Fitness, formerly of Bladez Fitness, has hired Brian Davidson as national sales manager for specialty dealers and commercial sales. Davidson has been in the fitness industry for more than two decades, most recently at SportsArt Fitness…. John Coyle, former director of fitness for Bladez, has been named vice president of BH Fitness North America as of May 1…. Horizon Fitness has realigned and expanded its sales force. Jeff Moser, former director of dealer sales, will now direct sporting goods, specialty and online channels. Mark Pagnotta will become director of sales for the mass, department store and club channels. Eric Goldapske has been promoted to key accounts manager, sporting goods. Several other sales positions are also open….
Michael Grant, former marketing director for G&G Fitness, has left the fitness retailer to start his own marketing agency called Commotion Retail Marketing, with G&G as one of his first clients. “The split was wonderfully amicable,” he told SNEWS®. “I hope to add others from the industry as the summer months go on.” Grant can now be reached at mike@commotionretail.com…. GoFit has hired Steve Attenberg, former sales manager at Spri Products, as its national accounts manager, effective April 1….
As of April 30, Bodyguard Fitness has a new marketing director, Yvan Marcoux…. Barry Elson will step down as acting CEO of Bally effective May 31. Don Kornstein will take over in a new role of “chief restructuring officer,” to facilitate the transition. Elson was named acting CEO when former CEO Paul Toback left the company in August 2006.
