Mike Connolly’s Fitness Equipment Northeast retail venture — opened after his alliance with Creative Playthings fell through — is up to three stores now after less than a year — one each in Nashua, Framingham and Needham…. Scott Logan has joined the senior management team at Powervibe USA. Logan, former marketing director at SportsArt, will be responsible for all new business development, developing dealer training and educational resources, and marketing. Powervibe was founded in 2006 by Christian Reichardt….
Accell Fitness has hired John Trigg as its new head of U.S. and national sales. He will oversee all U.S. sales for both the Bremshey Sport line and Tunturi Fitness brands, as of November. Trigg, formerly Northeast sales manager for BH Fitness, can be reached at 215-756-2964…. Dave Neziol, former vice president of sales at Accell, has moved to BH Fitness as Northeast and Canada sales manager for the BH specialty division, also as of November. Neziol, who will continue to base out of Canada, can be reached at 519-502-2172…. Jay White, a former vice president of sales at Accell, is now head of commercial and retail sales at 2nd Wind Exercise….
Creative Playthings is still on track for a soft opening before Thanksgiving, CEO Don Hoffman told SNEWS®. “So far, we will be carrying Landice, Lemond, Pacemaster, Body Solid, Kettler, GoFit and First Degree Fitness,” he confirmed, with other brands pending.
