For the first time, footwear brand Hi-Tec is joining the crowded crossover apparel realm with the launch of a new line of hoodies, pants, beanies, and other pieces aimed at people who want their garb to transition from trail to office.

“Hi-Tec’s® expansion into apparel and accessories was a natural progression and testament to the brand’s dedication to providing high quality, affordable products for everyone,” said Henry Stupp, CEO of Cherokee Global Brands, which owns Hi-Tec. “We have found that our customers seek the versatility of outdoor crossover products they can wear during everyday occasions, from going to the office to an activity after work. With our new collections, we are continuing to lead the outdoor crossover trend so customers are ready for any adventure. Comfortable anywhere.”

Hi-Tec has partnered with industry-leading licensees in specific categories to support the launch, including Tharanco Group in apparel and Interbrand for accessories

The first outdoor crossover apparel collection—thermal shirts, button-down tops, pants, fleeces, half-zip jackets, hooded jackets, vests, outerwear, beanies, socks, hats, and gloves—will be available this fall in department stores, specialty retailers, and through ecommerce sites in the U.S. and Canada. Hi-Tec did not specify which stores.

Details are forthcoming right now, but Hi-Tec reps did tell us that the collection will include the following:

  • waterproof fabrics
  • windproof fabrics
  • sun-protective fabrics
  • cool-to-the-touch fabrics
  • heat retention fabrics
  • sunglass cleaners (inside women’s and men’s woven shirt tails)
  • invisible zippers
  • adjustable sleeves

A second outdoor crossover apparel collection will follow in Spring 2019.
