GearTrends, OIA to partner on industry directory

GearTrends® will team up with the Outdoor Industry Association to produce a first – an industrywide resource directory for association members, including manufacturers, retailers, reps, suppliers and affiliated groups.
“The OIA Member Directory will be an invaluable resource to the industry,” said Frank Hugelmeyer, OIA president. “The directory will provide a functional member listing as well as a quick look into what your association is doing to promote and preserve your business and our industry.”

The premiere edition, the 2004 Outdoor Industry Association Membership Directory, will include contact and company information for OIA members, as well as information on the association’s programs and initiatives, plus highlights from its research reports, updates on government and lobby efforts, profiles of industry non-profits and groups working with OIA, and a calendar of events. Though anyone may advertise in the Directory, OIA members will receive a discount off standard rates.
The directory will be published in late November and mailed to all OIA members as well as select SNEWS subscribers, GearTrends members and retailers. GearTrends will donate 25 percent of the profits from the OIA Membership Directory to OIA.
