As this year draws to a close, and the SNEWS® team closes its offices for a few days, we’d like to take a moment to wish all our subscribers and friends a happy and healthy holiday season. It means a lot to us that you chose to be a part of our SNEWS® family this year, and we wish you and yours all the best for these holidays and the coming New Year.

Despite a year of economic uncertainty and business challenges for many of us, it helps to take some time to reflect on all that we still have. Even in uncertain times, our industries remain lucky, and for that we are grateful. For us, 2009 has turned out to be a year full of opportunity and change, some brought about directly by ideas and inspiration provided by you, our readers. We remain grateful for our continued and growing circle of subscribers, for our many loyal industry friends, and for all the new friends we have made. We especially appreciate all the words of thanks, good wishes and other comments that you sent our way throughout the year after a story or report that particularly moved or inspired you or just made you stop and ponder for a moment.

Yes, we’ll be in the offices between Christmas and New Years – albeit with some abbreviated hours – so feel free to give a ring if you are hanging around trying to find the top of your desk as we may be doing. If we don’t talk to you or see you before the end of 2009, we look forward to sharing smiles, laughter, inspiration, ideas, and the warmth of friendship with all of you throughout the coming year.
