Can you help?

>> In the club realm, the non-profit association of clubs IHRSA has established a forum for clubs from the area to find one place to help reach out to employees they may not know about, as well for others outside the area to offer jobs.

Click here and you’ll find the communication area in the upper-right-hand side of the page. There you’ll find posts from clubs such as Franco’s Athletic Clubs seeking the whereabouts of employees.

Others, such as Monroe Athletic Club, announced a fund-raiser in October with all proceeds going to the Red Cross. And others, such as nearby Baton Rouge-based Spectrum Fitness Clubs are open and collecting items at all of its locations for hurricane relief, noting desperate needs for things like personal toiletries, bedding and baby supplies.

In addition, there are lists of job offers outside the area.

>> For trainers and instructors, including those that had small training studios, there is a need not only for jobs, but also simply for exercise clothing, exercise equipment and other gear to help them get started in other areas.

To see lists and lists of jobs being offered, click here.

To postings not only of needed supplies but also of offers of supplies, click here.

SNEWS® View: If you have overstocks or extra supplies, gear, equipment, books, music or anything else a trainer or instructor can use, this ACE forum seems to be the best place to post it. If you are seeking somebody affiliated with a club from the area, the IHRSA site can help out.
