- Dahlgren Footwear announced its newest outside sales representative for the Pacific Northwest states (AK, WA, OR, ID, MT) is Hanna Copper of Portland, Ore. Copper is a member of the Pacific Northwest-based Stone Group West sales agency, and a national competition sailor and rock climber who has graced national climbing championships on 10 occasions, and who is a longtime Dahlgren fan. Copper’s other brands include Apres Gear, TruFit and Stonemaster Gear. Copper will be servicing both independent and big box stores in her territory, and has the resources and lines of the entire Stone Group West at her disposal.
- Yakima Products, Inc., which specializes in vehicle racks and cargo solutions, announced Jason McGibbon as its senior director of sales, North America. McGibbon will also be a member of Yakima’s executive team. McGibbon is responsible for driving the execution and implementation of the sales strategy for the company’s three-brand portfolio of Yakima, Whispbar and Prorack in the United States, Canada and Latin America. He will also manage the overall relationship with outside sales agencies, regional sales and marketing representatives and the company’s customer service department.
- Haiku announced the Frontier Group will take over sales and marketing efforts for the company in the Pacific Northwest. The Seattle-based agency, led by John Morioka and Scott Ohsman, will be representing the brand in Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Haiku, also based in Seattle, is known for its women’s bags and accessories inspired by the artistry of nature through their quality designs and functional features. The Frontier Group has been in the Pacific Northwest for more than 30 years representing brands like Mountainsmith, Helly Hansen and Adidas Outdoor. In addition to Morioka and Ohsman, there are five more members of the sales team that represent the company throughout the territory. Further support comes from a full-time sales analyst, marketing team and showroom manager. New for 2013 is the Frontier Group Road Warrior, StacyGerths, who will be on the road 30 weeks a year going wherever she is needed to best support retailer efforts.
- Zoot Sports, which focuses on endurance sports and makers of performance apparel, wetzoots, footwear and accessories, named Erik Vervloet as its vice president and general manager. Vervloet, who has worked as vice president of sports marketing for K-Swiss and most recently as chief marketing officer for the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC), brings a decade of leadership experience and marketing expertise to the Zoot Sports team. Vervloet is well respected in the triathlon and endurance sports communities both through the successful launch of the running category at K-Swiss and also for his work with the WTC, the entity behind Ironman, Ironman 70.3, 5150 Triathlon Series, Iron Girl and IronKids brands. In his recent post at the World Triathlon Corporation as CMO, Vervloet was responsible for driving global sales through management of all public facing initiatives including merchandising, branding, social media, national media relations and production, licensing and sponsorship.
