Did you hear?… Journalists didn't score too well on the annual CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll

Now we know we journalists at SNEWS® are honest and ethical, and we know you would give us a very-high rating on that (otherwise you may get a rash of GONER virus emails). But it seems the annual CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll out today placed journalists just barely a tick above Congressional representatives in the public’s opinion about who is honest. Now, how could they?!? Firefighters took the top rung, with 90 percent of respondents saying that group had “high or very high” standards of honesty and ethics. Next came the like of nurses (you know, clothed in white with nurturing smiles) at 84 percent, then down the list came pharmacists (geez, drug pushers?!) with 68 percent, followed by others including dentists with 56 percent (Ah, come on! Higher than journalists? I mean, they stick needles in your mouth!). Journalists finally filed in with 29 percent saying we had high or very high standards (that would have been our moms stuffing the ballot box). Congressmen had 25 percent, insurance salesman had 13, and at the bottom of the ecosystem came car salesman with — ouch! — 8 percent. Want to see the whole list?
