Now, you can enjoy free Snooze pancakes while catching up on the latest industry news.

Out here in Colorado, everyone thinks we’re servers at the breakfast restaurant, Snooze, when we say we work for SNEWS. So we finally decided, what the heck. It’s time for us to join forces.
Starting tomorrow, April 1, 2017, all SNEWS subscribers will get a free tall stack of pancakes whenever they dine at this fine breakfast establishment. Show proof of your SNEWS subscription (your login page on your smart phone will do) at our sister Snooze in Boulder, and they’ll set you up with a fat stack of pancakes. And, because this is Boulder, you can get them entirely gluten-, dairy-, peanut-, tree nut-, soy-, and/or sweetener-free. Great stuff.
“As a Boulder institution, we feel a deep connection to the outdoor industry, not only to all our customers who love to hike, backpack, climb and camp, but also to the many outdoor companies who make their home here,” says local manager Jack Flaps. “Partnering with SNEWS to help these loyal customers fuel their outdoor adventures just felt like a win/win. After all, pancake mix is cheap.”
If you bring your own BPA-free reusable water bottle, or insulated travel mug, Snooze will also give you a free liter of fresh-squeezed orange juice or locally-roasted, organic, fair-trade coffee.
“We’re excited to offer our subscribers this tasty new benefit,” says SNEWS Editor-in-Chief Kristin Hostetter. “It’s a challenging time for media companies. We have to be constantly thinking of creative ways to bring our readers new types of content, new services, and new subscription perks. And who doesn’t like pancakes?”
If you’re not already a SNEWS subscriber, don’t miss out! You’re only grandfathered into this deal if you subscribe before 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, April 2. Subscribe here and enjoy the best breakfast in town while you’re reading your morning fix of outdoor news.
*Thanks for reading SNEWS! We knew this would get your attention. As you’ve probably guessed by now, this is an April Fools’ joke and not a real deal. And that’s definitely Joe Prebich, vice president of brand for Fjallraven North America, in that photo, not “Jack Flaps.” Sorry not sorry. But if you subscribe to SNEWS and make it out to Boulder, definitely hit us up. We love meeting subscribers for pancake picnic potlucks. Oh, and when our spanking new website launches in mid-May, our subscription prices will go up (for the first time in more than 20 years). So lock in now, before the rate increase.
