SNEWS FAQ: Sharing passwords

We know you love what you see in SNEWS® so much that you want all your friends and colleagues to enjoy it too. We thank you for your enthusiasm, but there is one thing to remember: Sharing passwords is a no-no.

And we do occasionally monitor subscription account usage to make sure an account isn’t being abused in some way that could indicate a password has been hijacked. In those cases, we’ll change a password and inform the account holder about our suspicions and what the new access information is. SNEWS subscriptions, per the agreement, are individual and not for entire companies or offices. So that’s the bad news.

The good news is, that doesn’t mean you can’t share your SNEWS pleasures and education with your mates! All you have to do (and we encourage this) is send them an article summary via our “Email to a Friend” link on every story. If they don’t have their own subscription, they can click on a link in your referral email and activate one immediately — for FREE!
