The SNEWS® Mini Survey that ended Nov. 9, 2009, asked our readers to choose up to three things at work that scared them most, more than ghosts and goblins on Halloween. While the boss can breathe easy — “my boss” only garnered 14 percent of the most scary things at work responses — the staff refrigerator is a place to be feared with 54 percent responding it was the scariest place at work. And right behind the fridge comes the ever-popular company retreat which was deemed runner up as the scariest thing at work by 40 percent of our respondents. Not suprisingly, 34 percent of the responses selected “completing annual budgets” as most scary — we feel your fright!

Don’t miss our new survey question: “Have you or will you use a reference to the economic downturn in your company’s marketing programs, ad campaigns, or POP materials to drive sales or consumer interest?”
