Peter Carati, formerly of Hilleberg the Tentmaker, has landed at Yeti in Germany as managing director. The high-end niche brand specializing in down bags and jackets has had its ups and downs of late, he said, so his first job is to stabilize it before working to grow it in its core European markets…. Mark Hrubant was holding down the G3 Genuine Guide Gear booth at the ispo show, all smiles over the Outdoor ispo Award the small company won. Hrubant had been international sales manager at Mountain Hardwear before it was acquired by Columbia Sportswear…. Manfred Hell, CEO of Jack Wolfskin, decided to give out sales stats for the company at a press conference at the ispo show, although as a private company there was no mandate: Sales are divided nearly in thirds among specialty outdoor, sporting goods and franchise brand stores. Last year the company had sales of Euro 97.4 million (USD $117.1 million), or a third more than the previous year’s Euro 73.1 Million (USD $88 million), with 80 percent of sales in Germany…. Stan Mavis is the new president of Sugoi Performance Apparel, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cannondale Bicycle Company. Mavis co-founded Pearl Izumi in the United States and held the titles of president and chairman for 12 years. Most recently, he was the senior vice president of product for Brooks Sports where he was responsible for design and product development for apparel, accessories and footwear…. After nearly 12 years in San Luis Obispo, Calif., BOB Trailers has relocated to Boise, Idaho, and is up and running again.
