Crocs’ former CEO resigns from board
Ron Snyder resigned June 30 from the board of Crocs (Nasdaq: CROX) for personal reasons, the company said Thursday.
Snyder, who took over leadership of the company in 2005, announced in February that he was resigning from his role as president and CEO, effective March 16. He stayed on the board to help his replacement, John Duerden.
In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Crocs said Snyder left the board for personal reasons and not because of any disagreement with the company.
Crocs said its separation agreement with Snyder includes accelerated vesting of options, restricted stock awards and deferred bonuses.
As part of the agreement, Snyder will not be able to compete against Crocs or solicit employees or customers of Crocs until Dec. 31, 2010. He also isn’t allowed to make “disparaging remarks” about Crocs.
Outdoor Channel to partner with Fly Fishing Film Tour
Outdoor Channel (Nasdaq: OUTD) announced that it will serve as an official partner for the Fly Fishing Film Tour (FFFT), an annual event that premieres the country’s best independent outdoor and fishing features, according to a PR Newswire report.
Outdoor Channel and FFFT have struck a multi-year deal to work together in promoting fly-fishing films, presenting a film tour and producing video-on-demand content.
“Fly fishermen are a passionate and loyal bunch, so we’ve sought to create an atmosphere of excitement and audience involvement,” said Chris Keig, a partner at Mayfly Media (owner of the Fly Fishing Film Tour), in the report. “Partnering with Outdoor Channel gives us a larger presence in the market and will help us attract the best and brightest filmmakers out there today. We share a common ambition: the drive to create highly entertaining content for avid outdoor enthusiasts.”
