REI’s evrgrn Campfire Rocker chairs have been recalled because they can tip backwards and cause a fall hazard, according to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The seats are collapsible rocking chairs and are sold only at REI, for $99. Four children reportedly tipped over in the chairs while trying them in the store. No one reported any injuries.
The affected units can be identified by looking at the rear fastening hardware on the seat’s rockers. If the fasteners have a divot, they are safe and not affected. If they don’t have a divot, they are part of the recall.
People should immediately stop using them and contact REI for a free replacement or a full refund.. The recall affects more than 30,000 units, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
