Focusing on its 30-minute circuit workout, Shapes International has awarded 50 additional franchises in its pre-sale month of December 2002 for its “Shapes 30 Women’s Circuit Training and Weight Loss Studios,” the company announced. The Babini Group, owners of Shapes International Inc., said of the debut into the women’s-only fitness market: “We are extremely pleased with the early success of our strategic launch. This enthusiastic reception validates our commitment to delivering the very best women’s fitness franchise operation around the globe for members and franchise operators alike,” said Christian Babini, CEO/President. “We expect over 2,000 clubs by 2008.” The small clubs (1,000 to 2,000 square feet) peak at 300 to 800 members.
